Random video chat that feels easy to start.
Meet someone you have never met in a live, one-to-one conversation. Chatly keeps the essentials close: a clear match status, camera and microphone controls, live text chat, and a Next button when you are ready to move on.
Your camera
A new personUse video and in-call text chat while the match is active.
Mute, stop video, report, skip, or end the conversation.
A focused random video chat experience
Chatly is designed around the live conversation instead of a feed of profiles or endless browsing.
One-to-one matching
Start a search and wait for another available person. When a match is assigned, Chatly shows the public display name and connection status.
Live text chat
Send a short message, emoji, or compressed image while a match is active. Guest-call messages are temporary and clear when the match ends.
Camera controls
Turn your camera or microphone on and off without treating a disabled camera as a reason to end the conversation.
How to start a random video chat
- Open Chatly and confirm that you are 18 or older.
- Choose to enable your camera and microphone.
- Select Start chatting and wait for a match.
- Say hello, use the live chat if you prefer typing, or choose Next person when you want a different conversation.
Video chat and account features
You can explore random matching as a guest. A Chatly account adds profile management, friend requests, and persistent private conversations between accepted friends. Guest call messages are not the same as saved friend conversations.
Adults only
Chatly is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The current start flow uses an age confirmation; it is not an identity or government-ID age verification service. Do not use the service if you are under 18.
Random video chat FAQs
Can I use Chatly without creating an account?
Yes. Guest users can join random matching. A registered account is needed for a persistent profile, friend requests, and private conversations after a match ends.
Do I have to keep my camera on?
No. You can turn your camera off during an active match. The conversation and live text chat can remain available while your camera is disabled.
How do I find another person?
Choose Start chatting and Chatly places your session in the matching queue. A match is assigned when another eligible participant is available.
Can I leave a conversation?
Yes. Choose Next person to move to another match, or End to leave the current call and stop matching.
