Rules for using the service

Chatly terms of use

This is a user-facing draft of basic platform rules. It needs legal review and operator-specific details before it can be treated as final terms.

Operator action required before public launch: add the legal operator identity, contact information, governing law, dispute process, and final service-availability and liability language. This page is marked noindex until it is reviewed.

Adults only

Chatly is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You must not use the service if you are under 18. The current interface asks users to confirm their age; this is not formal identity or age verification.

Respectful behavior

You must not use Chatly to harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, impersonate, defraud, sexually exploit, or otherwise harm another person. Do not share illegal content, attempt to expose another user's private information, or use the service to facilitate unlawful activity.

Consent and recording

Do not record, distribute, or publish another participant's image, voice, or personal information without their clear consent and any permissions required by law. Do not pressure another person to reveal personal details or perform actions they do not want to perform.

Use of controls and reporting

You can skip or end a random match and submit a report for conduct that may violate these rules. Reports are stored for administrator review. Reporting is not an emergency response service and does not guarantee immediate intervention.

Accounts and friendships

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account. Friend requests and persistent private messages are intended for registered accounts. Do not send spam or repeatedly contact people who do not wish to interact.

Availability and technical limits

Random matching and WebRTC calls depend on network connectivity, browser permissions, device capability, and third-party network infrastructure. Chatly may be unavailable or may fail to connect in some network conditions. No uninterrupted or error-free service is promised by this technical summary.

Enforcement

Chatly may review submitted reports and restrict access where the operator determines that account or session activity presents a safety, abuse, or service-integrity concern. Final enforcement processes and appeal options must be defined by the operator.

Changes and legal review

These draft terms should be reviewed and finalized by the operator before launch. They do not identify a governing jurisdiction or replace advice from a qualified lawyer.
